Only the Nick Kline exhibit Stripes and Stripes, being staged at Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague in Carleton-sur-Mer, is winding up a little earlier, on September 8. The Doreen Lindsay exhibit Plants: indigenous and captured and Gabor Szilasi’s Gaspesian Encounters, meanwhile, are held over until September 24 at Musée de la Gaspésie in the town of Gaspé.
A reminder that on the theme of “Shaping the course,” Rencontres is inviting both the Gaspesian population and visitors to discover the work of about thirty professional and emerging photographers from the Gaspé peninsula and from elsewhere in Québec, Canada, the U.S. and Europe at the following locations: Cap-Chat, Marsoui, Rivière-à-Claude, Grande-Vallée, Gaspé, Percé, Chandler, Paspébiac, Bonaventure, New Richmond, Maria, Carleton-sur-Mer, Nouvelle and Matapedia.
